Yoliin Am (Vulture’s Valley)

Yoliin Am is a deep and narrow canyon located in the Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park. It is nicknamed the “Vulture’s Valley” due to the presence of bearded vultures nesting in the canyon walls. The valley also features a small stream that remains frozen until early summer, creating an “ice canyon” effect.

Baga Gazriin Chuluu

This geological formation consists of impressive granite rocks and rock formations covering an area of 300 square km in the central Gobi Desert. It was once an important religious center with a monastery that is now being reconstructed.

Baynzag Flaming Cliffs

  • Snow Leopard – This elusive big cat inhabits the mountain ranges of the Gobi, preying on wild goats and sheep. Its spotted fur helps it camouflage in the rocky landscape.
  • Gobi Bear (Mazaalai) – One of the world’s rarest bear species, with only around 50 individuals left in the wild. It is found exclusively in the Gobi Desert region.
  • Przewalski’s Horse – The last remaining truly wild horse species was once extinct in the wild but has been reintroduced to the Gobi Desert steppes.
