Itinerary:
DAY1 ARRIVAL & ULAABAATAR CITY
Upon arrival in Ulaanbaatar, check into your accommodation. Enjoy a guided city tour, visiting key attractions like National History Museum and Sukhbaatar Square. In the evening, experience a folklore concert followed by dinner at a premier restaurant.

DAY 2 TERELJ NATIONAL PARK
After a delightful breakfast, our journey takes us to Tsonjinboldog, just a 1.5-hour drive away, where we’ll marvel at The Chinggis Khan Equestrian Statue, renowned as the world’s largest horse-riding statue. After lunch, a brief drive will lead us to the picturesque Terel National Park.
The Chinggis Khan Equestrian Statue is the world’s tallest horseback statue of Genghis Khan, standing at 40 meters tall. It is made of stainless steel and includes a museum at its base.

DAY 3 HUSTAI NATIONAL PARK
Today, we head to Hustai National Park, where a stunning landscape of rolling hills, rocky outcrops, and grassy meadows awaits. This park provides a habitat for a variety of wildlife, including marmots, deer, and over 200 species of birds.
During the evening walking tour, you’ll witness the captivating sight of Prewalski’s horses gracefully descending from the mountains to drink from the river. This offers a rare and mesmerizing glimpse into their natural behavior, making it an unforgettable experience.
Prewalski’s horses, also known as Mongolian wild horses, are the only truly wild horse species still in existence. They are native to the steppes of central Asia and were once extinct in the wild. Conservation efforts have successfully reintroduced small populations, but they remain endangered.

DAY 4 MONGOL NOMADIC SHOW
Commence your journey by joining the Mongol Nomadic Show to experience the nomadic culture. Then, embark on the road to Kharkhorin. Along the way, pause at the captivating Elsen Tsarkhai sand dune — a distinctive region that harmoniously blends lush forest and Gobi sand dunes.

DAY 5 KHARKHORIN, The ancient capital of Great Mongol Empire
Spend full day exploring Kharkhorin, which was the ancient capital of the Great Mongol Empire of the 13th century.
Erdene Zuu Monastery
Built from the ruins of the 13th-century Great Mongolian Empire, it stands as the country’s oldest Buddhist monastery. Wander through its ancient temples, stupas, and surrounding walls, marveling at the intricate craftsmanship and spiritual significance of this historic site.

DAY 6 ONGIN RIVER
Start our journey to Ongi River, with a planned arrival at the tourist camp around lunchtime. This expansive steppe region alongside the Ongi River serves as a serene rest stop, ideal for breaking the journey between the Gobi Desert and the Central Mongolian steppe.

DAY 7 FLAMING CLIFFS
Venture towards Bayanzag, renowned for the groundbreaking discovery of the first dinosaur egg by paleontologist Roy Chapman Andrews in 1923. This pivotal exploration revealed the fascinating fact that dinosaurs laid eggs. Immerse yourself in a hiking tour to explore the world-famous Flaming Cliffs, where the echoes of this historic revelation still resonate.

DAY 8 FLAMMING CLIFFS Petroglyphs from ancient times
This morning we will do some climbing up to the Khavtsgait Mountain to see its famous petroglyphs from ancient times. Apart from the petroglyphs, you’ll have great views of the surrounding valley from the top of the mountain.
Khavtsgait Mountain is renowned for its ancient petroglyphs, which offer a fascinating glimpse into Mongolia’s past. These rock carvings, dating back centuries, depict various scenes of daily life, hunting, and spiritual rituals, providing valuable insights into the region’s history and culture.

DAY 9 KHONGOR SAND DUNE
Afterward, our journey takes us through a truly desolate desert landscape as we make our way to the largest sand dunes in Mongolia. The Khongor Sand Dunes, known as the “Singing Sands,” are vast dunes in Mongolia’s Gobi Desert, reaching up to 300 meters high and 180 kilometers long. They produce a unique singing sound when the wind moves the sand. Visitors can explore them on foot or by camel and experience the traditional nomadic life of Mongolian herders in the area.

DAY 10 KHONGOR SAND DUNE
Awaken to the melodic tunes of the “Singing Dune.” Brace yourself for the distinctive sounds created by the wind as it ascends to its zenith at 800 meters with a sprawling length of 190 kilometers. Experience the enchantment of camel riding in the morning amid these immense dunes, and embark on a hike to the summit at sunset. Witness a breathtaking panoramic vista that promises to be the most extraordinary view of your life.

DAY 11 YOLIIN AM- ICE VALLEY
After breakfast, drive to Gurvan Saikhan National Park, renowned as the most picturesque park in the Gobi, featuring a breathtaking canyon landscape, the Gobi Glacier, and diverse local wildlife. In the nearby town, take a moment to explore the Gobi museum and visit the local black market for a unique shopping experience.
Yoliin Am, or the “Valley of the Eagles,” in Mongolia’s Gobi Gurvansaikhan National Park, is famous for its dramatic rock walls, reaching up to 300 meters high. It’s renowned for its ice fields, which can last into summer. Home to diverse wildlife like ibex and argali sheep, it’s a must-visit for nature lovers and photographers.

DAY 12 BAGA GAZRIIN CHULUU ROCKY MOUNTAINS
Embark on a scenic drive to Baga Gazar, a captivating expanse featuring a granite canyon nestled in the heart of the steppe. Immerse yourself in the rugged beauty of these Rocky Mountains through an invigorating hike, discovering the remnants of an ancient temple dating back to the 17th century. This journey promises a harmonious blend of natural wonders and historical exploration.
Trekking in Baga Gazriin Chuluu offers stunning landscapes, granite rock formations, and ancient rock paintings. Trails suit all levels, making it a great adventure for anyone wanting to explore Mongolia’s natural and cultural wonders.

DAY13 BACK IN ULAANBAATAR CITY
Today, we return to the capital city via a paved road. Our arrival is anticipated in the late afternoon, and if time allows, we’ll take a leisurely stroll around the city, providing an opportunity for souvenir shopping, perhaps indulging in the exquisite quality of Mongolian cashmere.
