Mongolian Music and Dance
Mongolian music is an important part of Mongolian culture. Mongolian music is typically based on the pentatonic scale, and Mongolian instruments include the morin khuur (horse-head fiddle), the tovshuur (two-stringed lute), and the yatga (zither). Mongolian music often features throat singing, and Mongolian dance typically features a lot of acrobatic movements.

The best-known Mongolian epic poem is The Secret History of the Mongols, which tells the story of Genghis Khan and his descendants.
